THE GIRL IN THE LANE

The girl in the lane, that couldn’t speak plain,
Cried, “Gobble, gobble, gobble”:
The man on the hill that couldn’t stand still,
Went hobble hobble, hobble.

HANDY PANDY

Handy Pandy, Jack-a-dandy,
Loves plum cake and sugar candy.
He bought some at a grocer’s shop,
And out he came, hop, hop, hop!

JACK AND JILL

Jack and Jill went up the hill,
To fetch a pail of water;
Jack fell down, and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.

Then up Jack got and off did trot,
As fast as he could caper,
To old Dame Dob, who patched his nob
With vinegar and brown paper.
